Texas Secede! For an independent Texas Republic
I’m wondering if there’s a Contract Electronics Manufacturer in TX that would hire a consevative like me with 28 years experience. It’s time for me to move.
Pure Fantasy.
The problem is a lot of the Texas succession movements and Republic of Texas movements are headed by scammers who want to sell fake land grants or phony, useless currency. The Texas Independence groups have a long history of scammers using it as a vehicle to run their scams.
So is the idea of a Free America.

Exactly - Texas is full of illegals, liberals, and just plain dumb ass people which like all the crap the federal government is giving them. We could never get enough support to secede even if our constitution or founding documents allowed such action. We are stuck with seeing the United States of America become a socialist-communist-marxist-fascist nation. Yes, the majority of us, now, don’t support what is happening but it is happening and is going to continue to happen because there are people who don’t vote, have never voted and could not care less as long as they can watch football, baseball, soap operas or whatever to hell else is put on tv. I hate those damn people and all the other a**holes who let this happen and are making it happen. Watch cspan today and was disgusted by what I saw and heard. Even Fox News is on my *hit list.

It depends on what your strategy is. Armed minorities have led independence movements throughout the world. Heck, the Founding Fathers were a minority when they voted to declare independence.

You are correct. Too many people here in Texas are conservative on everything except their own access to the federal teat. Take away that teat and they’ll scream until they get it back.
All this secession and civil disobedience talk is pure hokum. These Internet firebrands talk a big game, but how many are willing to go to jail or die for defying Uncle Sam? Answer: ZERO.
The only way to win is for each of us to lay low, build our spiritual strength, establish iron-hard ties of love and loyalty between our families and those who believe as we do, and wait the bastards out. Capitalism and democracy are just as unsustainable over the long term as socialism and dictatorship were. What happened to the USSR in 1991 is going to happen to the USA sooner or later. Let’s prepare ourselves for the Big Crash and forget all this ragtag-band-of-freedom-fighters baloney.
My area has had a significant influx of Katrina immigrants and our crime rate has risen sharply. I’d love to boot them out by whatever means. I say everyone back to their home states until we can deem you safe for Texas!
Don’t get me wrong - I’m all for it if the opportunity comes and if there is a sane strategy. My family is fifth generation Texan and we love our independence. Damn it to hell, I am so angry I could spit horse shoes. Watching those freakin commie dems on CSPAN today was maddening. Then, turning of Fox News made it even worse. “Fair and balanced”.

I’m in Florida. If they cut medicare and social security to fund their socialized medicine, Florida may join Texas in seceding. But if it’s just Texas, I may move there.
