People in horrible condition with no chance to recover should be allowed to commit suicide if they wish. And yeah, with proper consent, witnesses, etc, I see no real problem with assisted suicide in many cases.

Really no different than a soldier wounded and about to be captured and tortured by Islamic radicals- if he/she feels they are going to die anyway and may as well go out on their own terms, I just don’t have any objections to it.

ANYONE has the right to commit suicide, but that doesn't make it right and it doesn't mean that the government should participate.

It's totally different. That is dying to protect others.

The government should not be in the business of killing innocent people. They damn sure shouldn’t be killing soldiers for getting captured.

Suicide is killing oneself. That’s the individual’s own decision.

Euthanasia is not suicide, it’s murder. There’s no such thing as *assisted suicide*, it’s legalized homicide.

What the deathbots want it to legalize certain forms of murder done by certain groups of people (so called medical “professionals”) to certain groups of people, those whose lives are not deemed to be worthy of living any more.

There are very effective ways of doing yourself in if you’re really determined to. You don’t have to have someone murder you because you lack the wherewithal to do it yourself.

The government should not be in the business of endorsing murder.

It’s one thing to commit suicide oneself.

People do it every day.

It’s entirely another thing to want doctors to be able to kill people. Call it “assisted suicide”, “euthanasia”, or “death with dignity” - it’s murder.

When you’re wounded and left on Afghanistan’s plains,
And the women come out to cut up what remains,
Jest roll to your rifle and blow out your brains
An’ go to your Gawd like a soldier.
