Reports are they got Adam FatGoatBoy Gadahn!!!<<<
If true and from their past record, they keep ‘capturing and killing ‘ them, only to have a new tape come out next week that says, “ They didn’t get me”, then we do have a victory.
Or did al qaeda just give up a ‘throw away’, to take some heat off the police over there?
AL QAEDA TELLS FOLLOWERS TO LAUNCH ATTACKS ON ROYAL NAVY
Story Image
TARGET: But Ark Royal has anti-terror drills it can use to defeat threat from fanatics
Sunday March 7,2010
By James Murray and Nell Doyle
NUCLEAR weapons carried aboard Royal Navy warships are high on Al Qaedas hit list, it has emerged.
Followers of Osama Bin Laden are being urged to track the Ark Royal, Illustrious and Invincible in what is being called the battle of the masts.
A message from the Al Qaeda leadership says: How many nuclear weapons might be on board and what would be the extent of the damage that could be caused if it was exposed to an attack?
The last time Al Qaeda launched a large-scale seaborne attack was in October 2000 when suicide bombers in a small vessel used a 1,000lb bomb to punch a hole in the American destroyer USS Cole while it was refuelling in the Yemeni port of Aden. It killed 17 American sailors and wounded 39 more.
snipped....
One site member suggested forming groups to concentrate on gathering information in specific regions, such as ships moving along the Suez Canal.
He added: It must be understood that the process of gathering intelligence carries life imprisonment in my country, for example. There is no room for complacency when it comes to security.
A site member called Abouhnan responded: God bless you and praise be to Allah that he allows us to be quick.
Another added: God bless all the brothers who participate in this raid. May God speed you towards victory and reward you with the highest level of paradise. Evidence has emerged that Al Qaeda had made the aircraft carrier Ark Royal one of its targets in the run-up to the invasion of Iraq in 2003.
The security services were also aware of plans to attack large passenger ships at that time.
But since the attack on USS Cole all warships from western nations have tightened their security considerably and are able to deploy well-rehearsed methods of defeating attacks from small vessels packed with explosives.

— Initial Report of Adam Gadahn Arrest Incorrect, Another Abu Yahya Arrested - Terrorist from Pennsylvania
— CBS: U.S.-Born al Qaeda Arrest News Incorrect
— Confusion Over Militant’s Identity Sparked Reports of Gadahn Arrest; Some Media Say It is Another U.S.-Born Terrorist
An “important Taliban militant” was arrested today in Pakistan. But that is where the confusion started.
Earlier it was reported by Pakistani media that intelligence agents had arrested Adam Gadahn, the American-born spokesman for al Qaeda, in an operation in the southern city of Karachi.
It was further reported by the Associated Press and Reuters that Gadahn had been arrested, sourcing security officials.
CBS News was told by sources in the Pakistan government that it was Gadahn, even after U.S. officials refused to confirm it was the California native for whom a $1 million reward has been posted.
Now, CBS News’ Farhan Bokhari in Islamabad writes that earlier reports the detained individual was Gadahn proved false. According to a Pakistan security official who spoke with CBS News on condition of anonymity, the arrested individual is in fact “a Taliban militant leader who is known as Abu Yahya.”
The official said evidence compiled from an interrogation of the suspect and information exchanged with U.S. officials verified the man’s identify.
The reassessment only added to the confusion surrounding the arrest of a man earlier described by other unnamed Pakistani security officials as Gadahn.
“In the light of our latest information, I can say, this is not looking like Gadahn. But it is still the arrest of an important Taliban militant,” said the Pakistani security official who spoke to CBS News late Sunday.
The New York Times, sourcing American and Pakistani officials, reports that the man arrested was Abu Yahya Mujahdeen Al-Adam, and describes him as an al Qaeda commander who was born in Pennsylvania.

American-born Qaeda leader held in Karachi
* Gadahn served as translator, consultant
SNIPPET: KARACHI: Intelligence agents have arrested Adam Gadahn, the American-born spokesman for al Qaeda, in an operation in Karachi, two officers and a government official said on Sunday.
The arrest of Gadahn is a major victory in the US-led battle against al Qaeda and will be taken as a sign that Pakistan is cooperating more fully with Washington. It follows the recent detentions of several Afghan Taliban commanders in Karachi.
Gadahn was arrested in recent days, two officers who took part in the operation said. A senior government official also confirmed the arrest. Gadahn, who is also known by various aliases, including Yahya Majadin Adams and Azzam al-Amriki...

That happens.
It could be Abu Yahya al-Libi or al-Adams or al-Adam which brings you back to Adam Gadahn and his many akas OR one of the American jihadis in Pakistan that is an Adam, too.

By Nabil Yousaf
The Associated Press

SNIPPET: A senior police officer said soon after the mens arrest that authorities were likely to deport them, but it now looks increasingly like they will face trial in Pakistan on charges that carry a maximum term of life imprisonment.
The men could be indicted on as many as seven charges at their next hearing on March 10, lawyer Hamid Malik told The Associated Press.

Top Al Qaeda leader reported held in Karachi
By Anwar Iqbal
Monday, 08 Mar, 2010
I
SNIPPET: WASHINGTON: An American Al Qaeda leader, Adam Yahiye Gadahn, was arrested in Karachi on Sunday, US and Pakistani diplomatic sources told journalists here.
Gadahn was likely detained in Sohrab Goth, a major Pashtun area in northern Karachi, which also has a large population of tribesmen from North and South Waziristan.
Also known as Azzam the American, Gadahn has long been on the US Most Wanted List. Officials in Washington described his capture as a major victory in the war against Al Qaeda.
All major US media outlets, while reporting the arrest of Osama bin Ladens spokesman, also credited DawnNews with breaking the news.
The reported capture of Gadahn comes the same day as As Sahab, Al Qaeda website, released a video of him praising Major Nidal Hasan, the US army officer who murdered 13 soldiers at Fort Hood, Texas, on Nov 5, 2009.
Thank you very much for the ping, I am deeply pleased that I missed this entire fiasco of misreporting by the MSM, it was a good day to NOT follow the news, LOL
It seems to take quite a while to determine precise numbers of people who vanish in the same time period.
