I think that Beck's basically a somewhat goofy guy who come late to an understanding of what many us have held for years. Taht is, he's gotten a handle on just who the enemies of freedom and humanity really are and it's scaring the bejeezus out of him. Beck's someone like the class clown who now finds himself on the battlefield and having to shoulder a soldier's load. It's not what he wants, but he's gotten himself together enough to step up and do what he believes is right. More people should ahve that courage.

Does this mean that he gets it right all the time? No.

Does this mean that he wants to assume the role of a leader - whatever that means? No. I don't see myself as a leader, either for that matter.

Does this mean that he's only in it for the money? No - Lord knows that he wouldn't be saying the things he does if money were the issue.

Beck's like the neighbor next door who sees your house is on fire. He's not a fireman, but he's doing his best to warn you to save yourself.

Sometimes you have great responsibilites thrust upon you. Beck's using his forum and his resources to expose not just who is trying to destroy our Republic and enslave us but also the pedigree of their ideas! If you don't understand that, then you don't really understand the pure, murderous, smirking EVIL that drives them.

That's what has him so concerned for the future of America. He can see the monsters behind their hopey-changey masks. Make no mistake, folks - for they are monsters. I've outlined their history and their ambitions in my Fourth of July 2009 Tea Party Speech

Beck's major fault is that he believes that a Ghandi-like resistance is the way to go. In that, he's wrong. When the monster mask slips, then we're going to have to do everything we can to put them down. Everything. For the price of not doing so means slaughter, atrocity and and enslavement on a scale that beggars the imagination.

I agree with almost all of what you’ve said. But I think that Beck’s appeal to nonviolent resistance (a la Ghandi) is really appropriate right now. We haven’t reached the point where there is no other choice but open revolt. We still have free elections and we can make proper use of them (and we seem to be doing just that). We just need to get our message out and choose wisely, understanding that our adversaries are not merely informed by stupidity but by a true evil to which many of them have willfully blinded themselves.
