Ehrlich had made noises about running for Governor. He would announce in March, if he decides to. Its possible this retirement is a game changer for him, but I dont know.

I heard somewhere that he was thinking about running for Gov again but the polls had him down quite a bit. of course that was a few months ago so God knows what it looks like at this point in time. If Mikulski does retire i hope this becomes a surprise GOP pickup. the more we take in “blue” territory this year the better

Ehrlich is a do-bee and a policy wonk.

He would die on the vine in the US Senate.

I think he is headed for another run at Owe Malley. It is just that he is milking his radio program for as long as is viable until he makes an announcement.

I like the idea of running Ehrlich's wife, Kendel. A smart and feisty one she is. She has some punch. I know she won't take any crap from the Dems.

If the race is against Van Hollen, as I think it will be, it will be a rough and tumble slugfest.

Might like to see Wayne Curry turn tables on the Democrat party and take a run at this seat. I believe he was considered to be a contender for Lt. Governor on the previous Ehrlich ticket. A lifelong Democrat, but apparently a good and decent fellow.

I bet he is more culturally conservative than most might expect.

Has been on the Democrat plantation all his days and been shown to the back of the bus on many occasions with a pat on the head and a reminder to behave himself.

Don't know that he would weather the all out attack against a black Republican candidate as well as Steele did?
