I’ve read over Blackstone and disagree that his text backs your assertions.

And I’m NOT taking Wong King Ark as precedent, for a number of reasons.

Blackstone is NOT the only commentator of English Law of the time, there are others, and de Vattel’s work was known and must be considered as well.

Oh... be serious. Even the most hard core Birthers agree that Blackstone's definition and the definition of English common law is exactly as I described it.

And that matters... how? The Supreme Court has spoken. You don't have to like it. But it is still the law.

The "de Vattel" definition did not exist until ten years too late to have influenced Article II of the Constitution.
