Look... the whole NBC redefinition issue is already dead. That one already got to the Supreme Court and was refused consideration on its merits. Negative. It was "dismissed" without comment, and most likely because proper Legal Standing wasn't shown and the case was likely deemed too political for the SCOTUS to take on, just as Gordon predicted in his 1968 essay. I have been telling people for almost two years (first Phil Berg, then Leo Donofrio, then Orly Taitz, then Mario Apuzzo) that if any genuine evidence existed that the Obama COLB was a forgery then a criminal complaint against the Hawaii DOH ... First of all, some have in the past have attempted ... it's just not be made public. Other people are working a different angle currently. In December 2008, it came very close to a head from the Arizona AG, but that was shut down too likely because of “Federal intervention” to "protect" the office of the President. The "political will" wasn't there when the first African-American President's approval was near 70 percent. What a difference a year makes. However, the Birth Certificate is a totally different issue. Let's not muddy the waters with that side of the Eligibility debate. Orly pursues that argument, while Leo (and Pidgeon) is interested in Obama’s status as a British Subject. The definition of “Natural Born Citizen” is part of that argument. For the record, the nation would been having this Constitutional crisis had McCain won. I would have been against McCain's Eligibility too as he was NOT born in the Panama Canal Zone (a land lease anyway), or as Gabriel J. Chin says “11 months and a hundred yards short of [Natural Born] Citizenship”. As you and I both know, the Constitution does NOT define “Natural Born Citizen”. The answer lies primarily in Original Intent. If McCain or Bobby Jindal runs in 2012, we'll be having this debate in two years, and the After-Birther will become the Birthers — how ironic. With the GOP likely taking the House and maybe even the Senate in 2010 and public disgust with Obama piquing, how would EnderWiggins recommend this long-running Constitutional question be resolved? |
