I was watching Fox news and as they were starting a story ob 0bama gearing up missile defense in the gulf the screen blanked at 9:56 AM. I've got Comcast. PMSNBC, and CNN are working fine here. I lost selective channels not all of them
It took 11 minutes to finally load Free Republic.
Is this happening to anybody else out there?

We have Comcast too but I didn't have any media on to get that kind of a message. On the T.V. I change the channel when it's Comcast news. Jill Horner is an idiot and gives standing to lying Demoncrats as truthful and reassuring.

NO. I am watching Fox News. No interruptions.
Didn’t Comcast just buy out NBC or MSNBC - maybe that is the problem?

I’m having problems too getting Freerepublic to load. Keep getting timeouts and when I am able to get it to load it’s very slow.

Taking down FR by DOS or other means would be an utterly stupid, and doomed tactic on the part of the government. They would get caught, and the furor would be bigtime polically unfavorable.

My Fox News (Comcast) went out for several hours yesterday.
Free Republic (IP also Comcast) runs like a three legged horse, if it loads at all.

We are on Cox here in Connecticut. I’ve had trouble on and off for the last several days getting FR to load. It’s the only website that I’ve had problems with. Everything else is just fine.

Back when debate was going on about Cap and Trade, I lost satellite connection to FOX and CSPAN. It might have just been a strange coincidence, but the connection on CSPAN seemed to be fine when the person voting for Cap and Trade wanted to speak. There weren’t any storms or anything outside either.

I have comcast also, but I didn’t have any interruptions with Fox today. There have been several occasions in the past that, for whatever reason, Fox has gone blank while all other channels work fine. I’ve found when this happens, if I change the channel from Fox and then right back to Fox, it starts working again. No idea why and I’ve not noticed the same problem with any other channel.

But there are still DOS attacks on FR.

If you go to the COMCAST news section “On Demand”...you will NOT find Fox News listed...only CNN and a local news channel.
