This thread is depressing in the sense of all the appeals to misguided loyalty, and misinterpretation of personal relationship. My ninety five year old mother does daffy things in the nursing home, and I have to rebuke her; does that mean I'm not loyal to her? One's sixteen year old daughter comes in drunker than a loon and throwing bottles all over the highway, does that mean I hug her and claim loyalty in the face of all those who were endangered on the road?
What is there to be loyal too anyway? - God the man is worth millions of dollars, has a bombshell wife, and a bunch of questionable associations, and you are going to be loyal to his Ego, in the face of all those citizens who pay for him?
Distancing herself from John McCain could have been done very sensitively, and diplomatically, leading the "old goat" out of politics. John McCain is too egocentric to even realize he was a setup for Barack Obama, and you campaign for him?
Sarah, I love you, but I'm not sure you have it to be "lonely at the top." Unless you do absolutely own him and have made some deals, I can only see you now as that drunken teen daughter.
