The idea of a conservative Senator in Massachusetts seemed impossible, but the strong showing of Mr. Brown is an indicator just how upset the electorate is with the corruption of the Washington establishment.

Below are some exerpts with details on the January 19th race.

The idea of a conservative Senator in Massachusetts seemed impossible and the current list of candidates ensures the impossibility of a conservative being elected in Massachusetts.

I understand that Brown is better than Coakley by light years. But I wish everyone would stop calling the rino a conservative; he is as conservative as John McCain, maybe even less so.

Scott Brown is not a good thing to happen to our country folks.

If there will EVER be a year where a GOP senator in MASS is the most likely, THIS IS THE YEAR.

Conditions won’t get any better than this.

If Obama has left any money in your savings account, consider contributing to Scott Brown’s campaign.

If he wins, we have 41 votes NOW, a year earlier than the midterm election!

Well, then I guess we should all hope that the RAT wins so we can proudly brag about maintaining our principles, eh?

God, you people disgust me! You would rather have your dicks cut off with dignity than settle for anything less than conservative purity!

Enough is enough.

I listened to the same old line when McCain was running. He' s not a sbad as the other. These people are the ones that put us where we are. If it were not for horrible republicans, we would not have the present democrats.

Rinos are no good for the country. Brown will vote with them a majority of the time; in Mass he voted for healthcare reform (same bill just on a state level), he is for green incentives, he is pro choice, he voted for pandemic bill and his reason was "I did not read it first"

Not looking for purity, just a conservative inclanation and a willingness to use the constitution as a guide.

It is not the "constitution"...it is the "Constitution".

Minor detail, but I believe in capitalizing the contract the Founding Fathers made with us.

Agreed. All we need Brown to do is to filibusterer Healthcare and vote down Cap and Trade which he says he is against. He has a short term and will have to answer for his other votes next election.

sorry, when typinh in a hurry accisents happrn! Let me correct myself; the governing document of the United States of America is the Constitution of the United States of America and It should be the guiding document for all that government does.

All I'm saying is vote your conscience, but do not call the guy a conservative, he isn't. You are setting yourself up to be let down when he votes for a "milder" form of healthcare reform, a "milder" version of cap and trade and a version of "comprehensive immigration reform". When he was running for state senate he ran on these issues, when a senator he voted for healthcare reform.

Slower road to hell still leads to hell.

He beats the progressive, Martha Coakley, hands down! I may or may not vote for him, depends on polling the day before the election, if there is a remote possibility of him winning, I'll vote for him. If not, I'll vote my conscience and vote for Joe Kennedy (the libertarian running as an independent).

It troubles me that the republican (not capitalized on purpose) party does not get the message that we have been sending; we are sick of politicians in general and we want patriots running for office. Hoffman in NY was a great example; Kennedy in Mass is not a politician, just a concerned citizen. Those are the people that are going to legislate with the good of the country in mind.

Unfortunately, Scott is just a career politician that says what needs to be said to get elected. While he must be a better choice than Coakloey, he won't be much better than Snowe or Collins or Grahmnesty or McCain. His record in Massachusetts attests to that fact.
