Everyone appears to agree that President Obama’s original birth certificate (not the short-form Certificate of Live Birth that has been produced) would end the controversy and the lawsuits and quiet the so-called “birthers” once and for all. Are we missing something here?

I can't remember all the times I've heard birthers say something along the lines of "it doesn't matter where he was born, Obama is ineligible because his Father was a British citizen."

It's simply untrue that producing a birth certificate will silence either the lawsuits or the controversy.

key Constitutional issue is the citizenship
