I live in the DC metro area and work inside the Beltway (Virginia side). I have found it surprising that there is no one adopting the Michelle Obama fashion style. I see nobody with her hairstyle nor anyone following her clothing style. I’m old enough to remember the fashion craze that followed Jackie Kennedy — women copying her hairstyle and clothing sense. There were millions of Jackie-wannabes. There are no Michelle-wannabes.

Certainly there will be ensembles that will be copied, most likely because the design is good, and Mrs. Obama has worn some becoming clothing. But it’s almost as though she and her stylists are trying too hard.
