Barack Obama Sighting, Hawaii 1980

A friend of mine sent me this story of his time in the Marine Corps. Read through to the end, it’s a shocker.

What strikes me most is what he said as to where he grew up: Indonesia. He told me he wanted to be President of the US someday. I remember lightly smiling and commenting that maybe by the time he gets to be 40 or so, America will be ready for a Black man to be President and I wished him luck. We spoke of the racial tensions I saw at home while growing up and I asked him if he ever saw that overseas or since he returned back to Hawaii. I don’t remember his answer, but we spoke more of his time overseas and his thoughts on life and philosophy of government. He made some strange comments to me, it was obvious he never set foot for any time in the continental United States and I told him he better realize that he is making judgments about the United States when he himself never actually lived there. I told him, “Hawaii aint the United States!”

He also told me something that I never forgot, for it caused me to do some other things in an effort to be nice to him and possibly a favor. We spoke of where I had been and the world as I saw it. I told him I had been to Africa , Mombassa specifically, and he said to me abruptly, “I was born there”. I told him he is not eligible to be president if that was true, but I remembered he said his mom was an American, so, maybe it was okay.

Every picture I have seen of him does not look so much like him as I remember, but the eyes and his mustache, it had to be

They were SEALS and he was not happy I said what I said :)

But he was polite when I backed off

He used to host a radio show in the drive-time afternoon on KFYI with Austin Hill (who still lives here, but hosts a show in DC and writes for various sites). They were funny together and tried to syndicate their show. I guess they bombed. Heck, I thought they were funny on KFYI and if I’m not mistaken Tom had his dad on once or twice. I think that G. Gordon has a winter house here. (Phx)

I just googled him, it said he (Tom Liddy) was born in 62, that cant be the guy, I was born earlier than that and this guy was older

You would be correct on that. He had brothers. Tom was in the service also I believe. But if there are doubters to your story, I’m sure Tom would gladly forward you to his brother. You’re right about the age. I thought Tom was a year older making him Obama’s age which would be too young to be a Lt. and a SEAL. Didn’t even think of that. That’s why I’m not a Private EYE.

Well, I was a Cpl at age 20, so this guy being an officer and completed training, he was at least 25, so, I guessed 28

I’ve lived my whole life in Hawaii (I graduated from the same school Obama did, but a few years earlier; however, I’m no Obama fan).

That landscape photo (obviously a montage) is taken from the Pali Lookout, looking out over Kaneohe. You can see my church directly below the lookout, it’s the large structure in the center of the photo (First Presbyterian). It used to be a golf course clubhouse before we bought and moved into it about 4 years ago (you can see the golf course behind and to the sides of it).

Only problem is that building and golf course didn’t exist in 1980, when you said you were in Hawaii. It was built in the late Eighties, early Nineties, somewhere thereabouts.*

So if you claim you took that photo when you were in Hawaii in 1980, which seems to be implied by including it with others which supposedly confirm your being there at that time, I call “fake.”

I will agree that the out of focus one could have been taken around 1980, given the shortness of the shorts men were wearing (that was the style—compare Magnum P.I.’s swimsuits). From the foliage, I would guess that photo was taken either at Bellows Air Force Station Beach or Waimanalo Beach Park, although it might have been at Malaekahana.

I love the new cameras! Much better than that old 35MM I had, that new one were shot from the Pali was with a Cannon EOS 35MM

I had some Kahuku sugar mill shots and also from the Polynesian Cultural center from 80-81 but I guess I didnt upload them

Didn't BO say as much in Dreams From My Father? I skimmed the book and thought I found that stated somewhere. Anyone else who has read the book, please weigh in.

What about the "King Obama" graven into the sidewalk at the Punahao (sp?) school in Hawaii? There's a .jpg of this on the ObamaFile site (Beckwith's site). BO must have had this dream at a young age, no?

Now Race Bannon, a Freeper almost for-ever tells us a story of his recollections during his time in Hawaii - when he met a young man who may very well have been obama - but instead of taking notice of the information contained in the well-written story that was a pleasure to read, what does he get for his trouble?

Sad. Tell you what...if I ended up having lunch with the doctor who delivered obama in Mombasa I wouldn’t bother telling anyone about it. I wouldn’t be believed, would I?

But when Barbara Nelson said that Dr West told her ‘Stanley Ann had a baby today’ and she wrote the baby’s name on a table napkin...no one told her she was a liar, did they?

I’m becoming bitterly disgusted with the lack of discernment shown on this forum of late. Sorry.
