“Hiding data, deleting data, cherry picking, choosing techniques for the specific purpose of achieving an outcome that conforms to a preconception, failure to admit levels of uncertainty, failure to test a hypothesis, political advocacy, and more - it is a virtual catalogue of things that a scientist must not do in order to establish the credibility of their results. . . . These leaked emails provide yet the latest proof that nothing resembling scientific method is involved in arriving at conclusions promoted by AGW advocates.”

Hey Notedev, Resist the darkside and come on over and see the light.

They want control of it all. Control over how big your house is, control over how big your car is, control over how much electricity you use, control over what food you eat.

It is going to take a revolution. . . .

Actually, about half a revolution at this point (around the sun) ... Then it'll get real warm again & you can blame GCC.

I’m not surprised at all. Even DUmmies get it. You would have to have an IQ lower than room temperature not to.

...if I assert there's a giant space dragon hiding behind the sun...

To inflict maximum pain on them, he should have said a GIANT SPAGHETTI MONSTER hiding behind the sun.

notesdev is awesome! when it comes to Globull Warming at least.

BTW, anyone notice all the fighting going on at DU between the left kooks who think Obama is too moderate, and the moderate Dems who think Obama is doing a great job? It’s been quite entertaining.

Oh, and what is the obsession over there with rec and unrec’ing threads over there? they go nuts over that. Back to unrec’ing threads LOL.

Yes, I noticed a number of their "Greatest" threads are on that subject. I could have looked at any number of them, but I wanted especially to devote this DUFU to the Climategate controversy.

If you do go over to the DUmp, gang, over the next couple days, keep your eye out for any DUFUable conversations-at-the-Thanksgiving-table threads, and send the link(s) to me and PJ.

For them to be truly lucid they still need to face some harsh facts. Right off the top they need to understand that Al Gore, Obama, and the rest of the democrats don’t love them any more than they love us. The liberals who vote for them are little more than a means to an end. I’ll even go so far as to suggest that the republicans see us in much the same way. That’s just the nature of the political party beast.

The ends are where the republicans and democrats really part ways. I suspect that Al Gore envisions a Utopian world where there are no more than a million super rich and a billion strong labor force to supply their every need. Things like producing roads where only a few can drive. They’ll still need us to work in mines and grow food but none of it is primarily for our own consumption. I’m sure they love the idea of a drive through the country to watch the little people toiling in the fields going about their ignorant lives.

The Republicans on the other hand, love consumers for their own reasons. Personally I don’t care if the republicans love me as long as they still want me to produce and consume. The best way to do that is by not interfering and skimming too much money off the top in the form of taxes.

Given the choice between serf and citizen, I choose the latter.

It really looks like the wheels have really fallen off the AGW wagon when the DU makes these kinds of statements. Maybe they are getting a glimpse that their saviors are more like overlords.

As another Freeper said a few days ago, “Global warming really is Mann made. Michael Mann that is.”
