I'd love to read your opinions of the Fiorina versus DeVore race. Here is an earlier piece I wrote; working on a follow-up for the Thanksgiving break:
The charge that State Assemblyman Churck DeVore is making; dont be fooled again. California has its own Dede Scozzafava in the GOPs newest candidate, Carly Fiorina.
On Thursday afternoon I spoke with Assemblyman Chuck DeVore, candidate for US Senate himself.
A day after Carly Fiorinas launch into the primary race, DeVore reiterated his charge that she is a moderate, a centrist, and a pragmatic individual who has waffled on major issues and decided that voting is something beneath her.
DeVore is ready to rumble; he made clear his charges that Carly Fiorina is a close proximity to New Yorks establishment option named Dede Scozzafava.
Give me your thought, I'll try to work some ideas, commenst and opinions into my newest column; more at the link...

I forget which RINO-ette Fiorina is. Is she the one that ran e-bay or is she the one that ran HP?
Or is there a third RINO-ette running for Senate?

Rev 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

I live in California, my Congressman is Duncan Hunter, after that it goes down hill a little for me, Barbara Boxer and Diane Feinstein for Senators, Arnold for Governor, Michael Savage’s Jerry Brown for Attorney General.

That clears it up a little bit. Was she the RINO-ette who donated to Barbara Boxer or was it the other RINO-ette?

fiorina is a moderate, but smart and not at all like boxer and my guess she has an excellent chance of beating boxer. devore has zero chance.
Your pick.

I recall the Carly days at HP.
She took the most respected name in any industry in the USA and drove it into the ground, taking Compaq with it.
When she started, HP had A-rated customer satisfaction ratings, and by the time she was done, both HP and Compaq had “F” ratings.
Her leadership gave the lead to Dell in PC and server sales.
Stories of her extravagances, including a full time hair stylist that traveled with her, abounded. (I see that she solved the hair issues with this hair cut?).
Finally, in the light of a horrible internal investigation scandal, she was forced from office, but only after the heirs of the original founders were forced out of the company.
So, what can she do for the US Government?!?!?!? I’ll tell you what she can do.....

If one is a little bit Left, one is still Left. Fiorina is therefore Left, and not to be trusted with anything resembling a vote from anybody on the Right.
A vote is, or should be an expression of confidence in the one being voted for. The Left has proven beyond a doubt they aren’t worthy of confidence from the Right. Fiorina deserves only a vote of no confidence.

I don’t think that is a fair comparison. She may not be 100 percent pro-life but she won’t be receiving any awards from Planned Parenthood. When was the last time a conservative won a statewide election in CA? She would probably be a better Senator than Pete Wilson.

I'm not trilled about Carly. She may indeed not be the type of conservative that I want. She may not even be a conservative. But get hold of yourselves. If she can beat Boxer. That's good enough for me. She may be middle of the road and some will call her a RINO, but if she can beat Boxer, that's good enough for me.
Look I understand California politics more that most. A real true Conservative like me cannot get elected given our demographics. This saddens me but it's true. This is particularly true if that Conservative is a white male. It isn't going to happen. But if Carly could beat Boxer, that's good enough for me.
If I could appoint a Senator, it most likely would be DeVore over Fiorina. But I can't.
We must rely upon the other states to give us the true conservatives in the Senate. California cannot. The best we could do is a moderate.
Boxer is a truly evil and dangerous person. She's also as dumb as a box of rocks. She's the prime mover behind this Cap-n-trade idiocy. At least Carly wouldn't vote for something that stupid. She knows how that would hurt business.
I know I'm gonna get slammed on this but I expect it. A lot of posters would rather lose the election with a candidate that is near to exactly what they want. We are past the point of this. We are in dangerous times. We have a fool and a madman in the White House and Congress is a ship of fools. We must be in damage control until more sane times come.

Unlike NY-23 we will have a primary in this state. I will support and vote for whoever wins that primary.
To: TWohlford
I guess Boxer can do better. LOL

You blew your argument.
Fiorina is not a Conservative, but she is not a Scozzafava.
It is the all or nothings that keep the left wing Democrats in office

That sort of thinking got us Obama. All the fools that sat home and refused to vote for mcQueeg. Isn’t the definition of insanity repeatedly doing the same thing expecting different results?

“I’m not trilled about Carly.”
So, it’s the old story... vote for the RINO (and in this case, one of the most colossal failures in corporate history, losing 60% of her company’s value, while the competition’s stock values increased) because that way we can supposedly get control of the Speaker’s office??

My sentiments exactly. I'd love to have a Senator like Sessions of Alabama. I'd work until I dropped for a guy (or gal) like that. But California is not going to elect people like that statewide. Maybe in some of the saner districts, we can get people like Duncan Hunter. I'd love to have him for Senate. Tom McClintock would also be great. But could they get elected? That's the *ucking problem. We (the state of California) ARE a ship of fools. The average person voting here doesn't have a clue. They vote strictly on frivolous things. So I'd rather have Fiorina than Boxer. I hate this decision but a CONSERVATIVE CANNOT win here. It's the demographics stupid.

...HP because she didnt know how to run an organization for maximum profitability.Well, then she's clearly qualified to be a U.S. Senator.
