I’d skip the roll of quarters. When was the last time you saw a pay phone? Plus, there are plenty of rocks in the wild and I don’t have to carry those around.

I also wonder, why would I need a watch in a survival situation?

Because you can use an analog watch as a makeshift compass, possibly?

When telephone service is out, a lot of the time pay phones are the first ones back in service. I have no idea why.

A watch makes a handy light when stumbling around in pitch black conditions. It can be used as a compass when the sun is out. It can give you an idea how much longer before sunrise or when it’s your turn to sleep. You may even want to celebrate your birthday after the the zombies have taken over the world, it’s hard to keep track of the days when you are in the field.

If it were a roll of silver quarters, it may have some barter value.
