But Romney basically served a half-term before launching his presidential run.
All while he was drawing a salary and still involved in state affairs.

I keep catching crap for saying she “quit”. What other name is there? No emergency , no death in the family, just some heat in the kitchen which I believe she could have handled (but she didn’t)
Buddy, this wasn't no ordinary heat.
She was marked for political death the moment she returned to Juneau after the election.
The ethics law as written provided no recourse for those who used it for political ends.
What was she supposed to do? Stand there and fight them, while the state's needs take a back seat and then her enemies in 2012 will laugh and say her term was "scandal-plagued?"
