Right. We initially requested, then demanded, that Afghanistan turn over binLaden and his henchmen. When they refused, we went in. Harboring binLaden was the original and just cause for the action, and that cause still exists today, so far as anyone knows.

Leave it up to the ahistorical Marxist to rewrite the story out of thin air and redefine the facts to suit his agenda. Obama delenda est.

That’s correct but it also has serious consequences for all sorts of rogue regimes. They can harbor terrorists and not fear that we go after them.

I remember in the week leading up to Bush’s speech there was a bit of debate about whether or not he would consider the Taliban our enemy. I say a bit because it was pretty much agreed upon by everyone outside of the really looney that they would. That’s important because it frames the way we see the GWOT. If you are a regime allied with terrorists, you are now no longer necessarily our enemy.
