From my understanding of the Hawaiian statutes, it would likely be as a result of a name change from an adoption or divorce than a change of citizenship status (unless citizenship was re-established later via the Hawaii Family Court).

In the above situations, those records - including the original BC - might be sealed with the Hawaii Family Court.
