The only problem with it is its a bad mismatch. Us youngish males dont pair off well with older ladies.
I'm 43, a lot of the younger coworkers at work always tell me there are plenty of "cougars" (older women looking for younger men for those at DU or in Rio Linda reading this) out there.

Yes, I’d love to see it make a come back. I’m not looking at it as a lonely hearts club though. I enjoyed the chat and fellowship.

Im in my 30s, I look 10 years younger and I aint dating someone that age. *shudders* 18-25, yes, 50-59, no. The latter end is only a decade younger than my mother. Ick.
Myself, I'm 43 but there are some people who think I look 25 or 32 at the oldest. I take from Mom's side of the family, we hold our ages fairly well. Her mother, my grandmother died at the age of 85, but up until the last few months when she kept getting strokes, she still looked 60ish.

I can count on one hand how many “older” women I would date, and they’d still only be in their 30s. It’s bad enough I was rejected by a girl a year younger than myself because she thought I looked too young. Fine by me, dating someone my age would be troublesome, because they would want to get married and have children immediately because of the biological clock. I don’t know if I want to (or even should) have children. My older cousin (who turns 38 in December) got married to a younger guy (younger than myself) quite hurriedly and is now pregnant with her first child, all in the past several months.

I enjoyed both sides of it but I like chewing the fat the most about various things.

Like the kitty says, do not want. I had a bad and very disturbing experience with one (no I didn’t date her).

GO STEELERS.....
Hope they win today, at least I hope the defeat to the Bears last week will make them take stock in what we need to do. I hate having the Ratbirds (Ravens) a game ahead of us though.

Do we need age specific threads ?
I would dearly love to meander into a
loving relationship with a kind, intelligent,
vital, 60s Christian/Catholic conservative male
who would relish my humor, nurturing, affection,
warm heart, generosity and fantastic cooking ....
and would offer the same back .. to my great
gratitude and appreciation (minus the cooking as
a necessity .. tho sharing kitchen capers is fun)
...... ;)

One of my co-workers who does go "cougar hunting," he just turned 25, had a friend who had 3 or 4 cougars and one of them found out about it and she smashed the windshield of his car in. Not good.

Partly due to genes. My parents are 70 and 69, they look 20 years younger (and are healthier than I am). My father doesn’t even have more than a couple strands of gray hair, not even noticeable.

Thats the good thing about older women. they got all the Bio Clock stuff out of their systems and now want to live.
Ben Franklin praised the merits of older women, and if it was good enough for old Ben, then its good enough for me.

I think it’s a valid point. I’ve seen how the singles threads end up with it being top heavy from two different ends, the younger males and the older (older as in 50s+) females, either divorced or widowed. Unless you have some Harold & Maude thing going on, that’s not going to work out too well. I wouldn’t think young males are going to want to go after the older ladies, and the older ladies after children. :-P
As for your description, I’m three decades too young for you.

I won’t relate my experience, but let’s just say it was disturbing. As I’ve said a gazillion times, I’d just rather have my former fiancee back. I never wanted to go back to singlehood again, ever. It’s all been a nightmare ever since. :-|

Ben also never bathed in water and would hang his nekkid ass out of his window to “air it out.” He was a strange man.
