people get paid for what they produce not "according to their need"...

If that were really the case, folks who read scripts on TV shouldn't earn much then, huh?

You think there should be a committee that makes the call on what people get paid? A business pays bases on how important that person is TO THEM. If they don't make a profit - if they make enough stupid calls - they go under.

FOX is making money hand over fist - and CBS is starting to "fade". I suspect FOX is making the right calls ( Beck's numbers are WAAAAAAY up, while Perky Pig's numbers are down. The company makes that call based on what that person is worth TO THEM. It's called capitalism.

I was in a discussion with a woman many years ago (Russian) who told me they could never figure out how we came up with prices for everything. So what they would do ( members of the Communist Party in Russia) was take the US Sears catalog and translate the prices into rubles. So she asked me how did people in the US come up with the prices... And I told her NO ONE set the prices in the United State - that everyone charged as much as they could get away with. She thought I was kidding... It's the same with wages. People try to get as much as they can - companies try to pay as little as they can get away with - and prosperity is the outcome. Free Markets work..
