Does he not get that the reason these books are on the best seller list is because the resonate with more readers than anything else? Does he not understand that he is insulting hosts of average American readers?

Maybe if he thought about it he would realize the same reason that most books on the best seller list are by Conservative authors is the same reason that Fox News is beating all the rest of cable news by almost two to one.
America is not interested in their Liberal rantings and the worm has turned on their attempt to destroy this good nation. It will take a long time but we will get this country back, if not it won’t last much longer and I believe the sheeple are beginning to realize this.
Things like this make me want to go out and buy every book out there written by a conservative. But that would be spending money I don’t have, thus making me a liberal, so I’ll stick to borrowing most from the library.

Chris Matthews doesn’t realize that his brand of politics and leftist, syncophant journalism are the reasons these books are on the best-seller lists.
The typical narcissitic white lib learned all they needed to learn from Mommy Professor back in college, the rest of their stunted lives are just to agree with the herd.
The word “responisbility” should be in our rhetoric. Liberalism is an appeal to the feminine, responsibility is the masculine duty. Apply it to these people and we will get what you predict, much quicker, and they will fold.
You raise a point. Maybe they are like true communists and wannabe communists. The true believers enjoy control and controling people while the wannabes think communism is a good thing, fight long and hard to get it, and once they find out that the workers paradise promised them is a form of mental prison and they try to escape.
Like those people who went to Russia after it went ‘Red”. Finding out that shortages and no personal freedom were the norm. They become disenchanted and came back to the USA.Only this time there isnt any place to escape to.

If memory serves, Chris Matthews was (and maybe still is) a regular church goer. I think he went to the same Catholic church as Pat Buchanan, but I might be wrong.
Chris Matthews used to be left of center quite some years back. He disliked Clinton for a number of reasons, one being that he was dishonest. He subbed for Rush Limbaugh once and called into the show a couple times. He thought that homosexuality was oftentimes a chosen lifestyle because, as he once said, he worked in Africa and never saw one homosexual.
Now, he's a hardcore leftist nut. It makes me wonder whether his positions on issues depend on his strategy to appeal to his target audience.
