Punish the other kids as well? The other kids on the bus were potential victims. I got my 13 year old daughter on the bus this morning. Never in a million years would I advise her to get involved and try and stop a fight like that. Sheesh! Yeah, that's the ticket, teach your daughter to be a coward and stay out of any fights, rapes, beatings, muggings or other crimes she might witness. That's how criminals get away with this type of sh**. No one wants to get involved.

Thank you sir. I agree with you. It’s surprising how many clueless and cowardly people there are in our once great country, including some on this forum.

Yeah, right, He-man. I am going to have my freshman daughter try and stop a fight between larger and stronger boys on the school bus on her third day of high school. And good thing I said “I love you” when I kissed her goodbye. One of the homies might have had a knife.
But at least she went down swinging.
Sheesh!

It's gotten worse since I was a kid, but there were even moments when I witnessed roughly similar behavior (not as vicious). I will tell you now: I got in the middle of it, and fast. Probably happened five or six times from late grade school through high school. And each time the bully or bullies backed off. I never got expelled or suspended myself, but I undoubtedly would today.
And I've taught my own kids: defend the weak from the bully. If the administration tries to punish you, I'll handle that part of it.
