Is the author a "mere" libtard, who's politically correct programing requires her to ignore, with Orwellian thoroughness, the overt hate and extremism of radical leftists (particularly if black)? Or is she a conscious leftist extremist herself, who is fully cognizant of the extremism and agrees with it?

It is offensive to use the term "liberal," and especially "real" liberal, for the likes of Van Jones and his allies and defenders. Ronald Reagan was a solid liberal (and, indeed, the modern conservative movement has zealously preserved all important elements of classical, "real," liberalism) in reference to these leftist extremists. They (like genuine right extremists) are ideological absolutists, i.e. totalists, i.e. totalitarians, the polar opposite of centrist (and center-right) liberalism.
