I’m a Goldwater Republican. I’m also a Southern gentleman who has a naval jack on my boat and who does not take the comments about the South kindly.
I will also say that I do not like Palin for two reasons beyond anything I’ve said before. First, is a religious reason, namely, the transition from what her birth faith was to what she is now and I have the same gripe with Tim Pawlenty. The problem I have is rooted in my own personal religious beliefs. I’ll vote for her if she’s the nominee but I have to oppose her in the primary
The second. I am not predisposed to vote for any woman who calls herself a feminist who also uses a bombastic campaign style. Call me sexist but that’s just the way there is and there are a lot of people in this country who share that old-fashioned sentiment with me.
Say all you want about Haley Barbour but Haley Barbour is a competent executive and Haley Barbour doesn’t cut and run when under fire like Palin did when she resigned. Look at Haley Barbour’s leadership during Katrina and tell me he is not the man we need at the top of the ticket. And also, after all we Southerners have done for the GOP it’s about damned time we have one at the top (and no, Bush is not a Southerner, he’s from Connecticut)
My name is Jeff Anderson. I live in Richmond, Virginia. I think you're a faggot. Feck your naval jack and feck your South.
See, unlike you I don't hesitate in identifying myself.
Hey bub, check my screen name----it means I'm from the western Virginia mountains and my drawl is every bit as thick as Barbour's.
Despite what you think, he's a losing proposition for 2012. And as far as your personal gripes against Palin, they are about as shallow as one can get, and for you to say that you will try to block her nomination because of your admitted sexism (you said it, not me!), then I find that truly astounding and symptomatic of what's wrong with the GOP good ol' boy network.
You sir, are part of the problem!
Goldwater was a social liberal.
