Just like everyone else here, I question his birth location. The only thing that keeps nagging at me is reading that his birth announcement was in the Honolulu newspaper.

I haven't kept up with this much so am asking if anyone knows if it really was in the paper or if that was false. Thanks.

Middle-class white Americans in the fifties would have good reasons for wanting the world to think their grandson had been born in the USA rather than in Kenya. (I happen to believe Obama WAS born in the US; I just don't think the birth announcement is dispositive.”)

The birth announcement doesn't state where Obama was born only that he was. People make the assumption that since the announcement was printed in Hawaiian newspapers, Obama was born in Hawaii. That may not be the case.
