Media Continues to Ignore Van Jones Truther Controversy

In the first full day of the Van Jones resignation watch, the White House was mostly quiet on the status of the Green Jobs Czar. The only think they said was the president does believe with the truther nuts. When asked on Friday whether President Barack Obama still had confidence in him, White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said only that Jones "continues to work in the administration."

Gibbs then referred to Jones' own statement.

Jones flatly said in his statement that he did not agree with the petition's stand and that "it certainly does not reflect my views, now or ever." As for his other comments he made before joining Obama's team, Jones said: "If I have offended anyone with statements I made in the past, I apologize."

Not surprisingly two of the Broadcast Networks were as tight lipped as the White House, the third mentioned the scandal but blamed it on Fox News:

To heck with the Truther controversy. Van Jones is a self-described communist who preaches bringing the United States down. And he is a racist.
