FReeper Carey and I were discussing Van Jones earlier today and she made the statement that she believed that Jones started the boycott of Glenn Beck by advertisers. I told her that I thought Media Matters was behind it but upon doing a little reading, it became clear that Color of Change, which was founded by Jones, was the instigator of the boycott which began in early August, as I recall.

Jones was appointed “green jobs” czar in March. If he can be shown to have been pulling the strings for a Color of Change-initiated boycott of Beck’s show while in the White House, I’d say he could find himself in some very serious hot water and Hussein with him.

Could it be that Beck has reason to believe that Jones was the organizer of the boycott and is therefore so hot under the collar about him? There are several czars in the administration who are just as nuts as Jones but Beck seems to have selected him for special attention.

This actually makes a lot of sense. Beck has devoted an entire week to breaking this guy. And it looks like Jones will either be out the door or such damaged goods that he won't be much use in guiding their policy. If Beck did it is a wonderful, shot across the bow, of the Obama administration. Come after me or mine and you personally will pay the price. Obama has ruled by using force to intimidate his enemies. Now he has found someone who not only is willing to hit back, but who can actually do damage. That is probably a first for Obama, someone he can neither scare, shame, or silence.

This administration has been obsessed with destroying the First Amendment since they took over. It seems as though each day brings another story about their newest attempt to shut people up, either through financial destruction via proposed regulation, financial destruction and/or ridicule, which is Alinsky all the way.
