Obama was reported not to be operational without his blackberry communication device. He even had a "special", extra secure device configured just for his use.
Is it not a requirement that all communications orginating from the President of the United States have some kind of transcript so as to be able to reconstruct events in case of a disaster, or a gross mistake made by our elected officials?
How can any kind of transcription made from a blackberry conversation? Is it recorded?
Who is Obama talking to in secret on his blackberry?
Inquiring minds just asking questions....
Laws are for Republicans.
Where is the Prez this week anyway?
Sobering up?
you bechta’ and he’s calling the shots in Greece, too, along with Germany
You can guarantee the Blackberry is tied to a Blackberry Server. The server will record and keep all records of communication (possibly not PIN to PIN) but anything else would go via the server. Some IT who speak Geekinese can probably enlighten us about the Pin to PIN since it bypass the server and goes device to device.
I think suspicion like this (when it’s obviously not grounded in reality) just makes conservatives look ignorant, and makes it easier for everyone else to dismiss legitimately suspicious things we raise. It’s one thing to ask the question of whether records can be maintained on a Blackberry, but it’s another to say that we should try to publicize this issue.
