Such an arrangement threatens to increase the power of the President beyond what is Constitutionally mandated. Even lifelong Democrat Senator Robert Byrd has said the czar system "can threaten the Constitutional system of checks and balances."

If President Bush had tried such a naked power grab, the MSM would have been screaming from the roof tops...

Robert Byrd has suggested it can threaten checks and balances, but what has he or any other member of the Senate done to stop it?

Why havent they done anything to stop it? What are they frightened of? Are they blind to the fact that their authority is being slowly bled away? Dont they care? Harry Redi is their leader is he too stupid to see the problem? Why arent the republicans jumping up and down over this. Is this a conspiracy to bring the government under the control of the presidency?

Glenn Beck may be a little off the wall here, but who can answer these questions?
