Big difference is free ranging chicken and no meats pumped up on hormons. The meats are leaner, tastier, and non toxic.

Thanks to everyone who responded re. Wholefoods. In Chapel Hill there is a store called ‘A Southern Season’ that we go to about 3 times a year. It has a remarkable deli counter and a wine/beer selection second to none. We always get their almond chicken when we go. Always spend about $150—you really can’t get out for less.

Whole Foods is a fun place to grocery shop! They have things you’ve never seen before and are fun to try. Their store brand is 365 but they carry a little bit of everything. Their produce is awesome and their deli section is just amazing.

I’m waiting for a check. If it comes, I’ll definitely participate!

I agree about their buffet items and salad. Hubby and I go there and eat lunch off the salad / buffet bars and sit outside on their patio and watch the world go by. I think Sept 1 sounds like a great day to do it again!

Now that is an awesome idea.
You buy them a gift, Whole Foods has the money, and it tests the libs commitment. Sweet!

It’s a few miles out of my way - but I need to pick up some vitamins & supplements and they always have what I need!
September 1st will be my preventative HealthCare day.
I hope some RATS are there picketing.. hehehe. I’m feeling a bit fiesty.

Whole Foods... you pay a little more, but just knowing we won’t have to share the store with the loony RATS...makes it very easy to shell out a few extra bucks.

Went to my neighborhood Whole Foods last week. No boycotters (it was in the afternoon, they probably hadn’t gotten out of bed yet) and PLENTY of customers.

Support Whole Foods this Tuesday!

This is a one-time ping to some FRiends, and also to FR regional pingmeisters. If you don’t have a Whole Foods in your area, don’t worry about it. If you do, please ping your FRiends.

I’ll spend some cash at the W.F. in Thousand Oaks, CA. I’d love to see that day’s profits go sky high on the 31st. I despise that little panty-waist twink who’s been leading the charge for the boycott. I want him to see the profits and wet his pants. The guy is deranged.

That’s a great idea! I love it. Will the sale of the gift card show up on the 31st — the day it’s purchased — or the day the card is used? I know tax, etc., aren’t calculated until it’s used. Want to be sure the dollar figures are HIGH on the 31st!!

There actually is a Whole Foods in Chapel Hill, as well as Cary, Durham, Raleigh and W-S. See here.

Enjoy your Tofurky, mashed yeast and protein extract.

I don't go down that aisle. I stay in the expensive exotic produce section.

It’s 40 miles north, and our Town Hall is that evening, but maybe I can squeeze it in.

will definitely make a point of going in there, i normally steer clear of it as i think of it as a leftwingish type place. funny THEY are the ones boycotting it.

Whole Foods is more an attraction for “foodies” than hippies. A hundred brands of Olive Oil! Six kinds of kale! The produce section, the cheeses.
