Count me in.
We even have the outline for a proposed new constitution:
http://freetexasconstitution.wordpress.com/
Read it and weap you non-Texans!
Arizona seconds that motion
I served there in the AF for four years and voted absentee in TX for 20 years. Would like to be counted in.
Im in
Texas tried this once before and it didn’t exactly work out.
Fresh air from the heart of TExas.
(YeeeeeeeeeeeeeHaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!)
IMHO
Where do I apply for my Texas passport?
Secede and I will be moving from Vermont to Helotes , Bexar County in the Republic of Texas.
I won’t have to wear one of those big funny cowboy hats, will I?
Ping for later.
I’ve been waiting and counting on Texas to do this!
They wisely had this option written into their Constitution in the very beginning.
But we need more states to declare, at least, States Rights - as they are doing one by one...

Once 30 have done this - they can stop the FEderal Gov’t in it’s tracks and put it back to it’s narrow field of rights as outlined in the Constitution.
I hope they hurry up, as I doubt Texas will be able to find room for all us that will pack our bags and head for the Lone Star State. This rally aught to make some good headlines - not that most of the media will cover it. That’s okay. If FOX does, well, they’ve got the most viewers, by far.
Go Texas!
Nice, except that I strongly recommend that as you include the ten amendments of the US Constitution, that you reword them as necessary to eliminate the possibility of misinterpretation. This can apply to any and all amendments, but particularly the second, which was worded with a grammar structure beyond the capabilities of many modern citizens, and therefore the meaning can be manipulated to statist ends. I suggest something along the lines of “Texas, recognizing the value and necessity of an armed citizenry, affirms that all persons have the right to possess and bear arms.” No caveats, no restrictions, no unusual clauses.
I went on the radio show of one of the folks pushing this a few days back. Kinda left them speechless for a bit when I asked them this question, roughly paraphrased:
“If, while you have the freedom to communicate, to organize, to run candidates for public office, etc., and you can’t get people motivated to get off their rear ends to save our republic, what makes you think those same people can find the political and physical will to enforce secession?”
They really didn’t have an answer.
It's time to SECEDE!
If you’re not part of the problem, you’re part of the solution! God bless the Republic of Texas.
How about Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana seceeding together?
