Suppose someone introduces a bill in Congress to reverse the supposed “slashing” and increase benefits to seniors?
It might pass. And Republicans who vote against it will be pilloried in 2010 by every geezer you’ve managed to piss off.
I understand your reasoning but I think this is just too dangerous a tactic.
