Here is truly shocking video of Democrat Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee at a Town Hall Event in the Houston, Texas area, where she actually talked on her cell phone while a woman who said she is a cancer survivor tried to ask her question. The woman was making it clear she does not want a Government-controlled Health Care System when the crowd began to react to the fact Lee was talking on her phone. You can see her doing it on the video.

With all due respect Mr. Schwartz, I posted this in “Bloggers and Personal,” not in “News/Activism” where you posted your item. I look through “Bloggers and Personal” to try and make sure no one has already posted an item in that category. I don’t post at News/Activism, as you do, and I don’t look over there.
There are people like myself who spend their time in the “Bloggers and Personal” section and have not seen the items you post in “News/Activism.”

Thanks for the reminder, but guess which one I saw first? The idea is to inform not to conform.
Once we elect them- dems or reps- they, somehow, are granted more benefits, more intelligence and more rights than the rest of us. Something about an election- I don’t know what it is- entitles them to believe they are entitled to whatever it is they are entitled to. They don’t work for us...oh no...they are given a position by God to be whatever it is they want to be and have whatever it is they want to have. WE simply exist to make sure they are re-elected. We have no say simply because we can NEVER be as smart as they are.

I live in her district (which means I don't have a Congressman, I'm the wrong color), and her nickname here is "Queen Sheila". I call her "the Queen of the Nile".
She's from Jamaica Queens, Long Island, by way of Yale. Doesn't that just embody the makings of a great Texas congressman, don't you think?
Ivy League slitherers are always doing that -- migrating out to The Provinces and then weaseling their way into office. Their faculty, I've heard, make a point of putting the idea into their heads before they leave campus. I heard about one West Texas congressman who did that 40-50 years ago .... his faculty advisor murmured something to him about "improving the representation" out in Hick Land. Yeah, right.
sigh....I’m in her district too...still tempted to get my radical neighbor and head over to Tidwell tonight....
