The Left is losing its grip; paranoia and personal attacks run rampant
Sumner United for Responsible Government ^ | August 10, 2009 | Matt Moynihan

Things are getting ugly, folks. By now, I’m sure you’ve heard plenty about the supposed well-dressed “angry mobs” that are showing up at town hall meetings across the country, sometimes referred to as the “Brooks Brothers Brigade.” You’ve also probably heard that these mobs are organized by the health insurance industry, “striking fear in Americans.”

Our Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, says these mobs are carrying around flags with swastikas on them. I haven’t seen any, but I can assure you, the left will scour the millions who are standing up for their freedoms and single out the one who makes the whole group look bad.

By the sounds of it, you would think these mobs were rioting in the streets, threatening people’s lives. The left is poised with cameras and watchdogs, following the mobs’ every move, just begging for a scene that can make these people look more and more angry.

An ad that the Democratic National Committee is now running showed a woman holding a bible and yelling, as though that’s supposed to make these mobsters look worse.

Ladies and gentlemen, I am the mob and proud of it. The mob is every one of us who dares to speak up right now, every concerned citizen who actually expresses their right to free speech, every engaged American who simply wants to have a discussion with his elected officials.

The mob is everyone who is sick of hearing the same old tired rhetoric by politicians and may raise their voice because they aren’t being heard. To try and curb this mob movement, our government will stop at nothing. They are now asking neighbors to spy on neighbors and report their emails and their casual conversations. Yes, in another blatant attempt to silence dissent, the White House issued this statement, “Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov.”

I’m sure I’ve already been reported multiple times. I encourage you all to keep up the fight. Just watch your backs. Big brother is watching.

How far the left will go

The left is not ashamed to come after you personally and wage war on you if you dissent. Case in point: A private business owner named Christian Hidalgo, who is involved in the tea party movement in Murfreesboro, is being personally attacked by the left because he owes back taxes. Never mind the fact that years ago, he uncovered the accounting mistake and has already been working with the IRS to pay back those taxes. He ended up on Keith Olbermann’s show as part of the sarcastically cruel segment “World’s Best Persons.” Someone even put up a Web site, www.dumpnavigationadvertising.com, assaulting his business and putting fear into his customers. This is a private businessman. Is this what we’ve come to? Our elected officials signed up to be put under the microscope and challenged, but to expose the personal business of private citizens is simply wrong.

In some conversations I’ve had with liberals lately, they say “I remember when we used to have a civil country.” Let’s examine just a few examples of the days they remember fondly: At a presentation by the Minutemen Project at Columbia University, student audience members stormed the stage, overwhelming the presenter and running him off stage. At a speech by Republican Tom Tancredo at UNC-Chapel Hill in April, classmates yelled and chanted before he could begin, and held up a sign across the front of the lecture hall until cops ushered them out. As a protest of the war, friends in Olympia, Washington, held hands and lay down in the street to prevent a military cargo truck from passing. And at a demonstration for the infamous Proposition 8 bill, angry protestors surrounded an elderly woman who was holding up a cross at the demonstration and stomped it to the ground. You can YouTube every one of these and make your own decision. Yet somehow, people who are standing up for their right to free speech are cast by the left as the “angry mob.” Sad.

Our own healthcare town hall this Saturday

This Saturday morning Sumner United for Responsible Government will host a healthcare town hall forum and politician-free panel discussion. I will be moderating the event, which will take place at the Hendersonville Public Library from 10am to 12pm. It will include an expert panel of people who are directly impacted by the proposed healthcare legislation, not politicians. The panel includes a policy analyst, healthcare providers, employers and patients. If you want to learn about the legislation being considered and how it may impact your lives, I invite you to join us. I predict that SEIU and ACORN organizers will be in attendance, which should make the event quite interesting. The rest of you, I hope you will come to listen, ask questions (no shouting, please) and make your own decision about what you would like your healthcare to look like. We invited Bart Gordon to attend and sit in the audience, but he declined. In fact, he has chosen not to come to his district at all during the recess.

My Texas Town veteran meeting made a believer out of me. Having led what I guess is a sheltered life (thanks to my husband) I've never been around that much hate before. It was almost palatable.

I think that if I were going again, I would take pepper spray and hold it in my hand. Wearing a billed (5th Cav. Army) cap seems to help because that kept people from getting straight nose to nose with me. Plus, I would redo my sign so it wouldn't be as heavy!

The following is a link to an old thread about an even older booklet, entitled “The Revolution Was”, by Garet Garrett, written in 1938 about FDR and the New Deal. The entire booklet can be easily viewed in the light of 2009 - 71 years later!

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/929392/posts

The following excerpt is of interest in view of Government Health Care and the liberal’s response to protests:

PROBLEM SIX
THE DOMESTICATION OF THE INDIVIDUAL

... But it was as if in every case the question was, “Which course of action will tend more to increase the dependence of the individual upon the Federal government?” and as if invariably the action resolved upon was that which would appeal rather to the weakness than to the strength of the individual.....

No individual life escaped, unless it was that of a desert rat or cave dweller. It was thus that the hand of paternal government, having first seized economic power, traced the indelible outlines of the American Welfare State. In the welfare state the government undertakes to see to it that the individual shall be housed and clothed and fed according to a statistical social standard, and that he shall be properly employed and entertained, and in consideration for this security the individual accepts in place of entire freedom a status and a number and submits his life to be minded and directed by an all-responsible government.

When New Dealers speak in one breath of a welfare economy and with the next breath bitterly denounce pressure groups [Tea Parties!] it may seem that they involve themselves in an ironical dilemma. It is easy to say: “What would you expect, since you have made division of the national income a matter of political bargaining where before it had been always a matter of economic bargaining?”

Yet they are right, the New Dealers. In the welfare state, pressure groups [Tea Parties!], representing willful political action, cannot be tolerated. They will have to be suppressed at last, because in the welfare state the government cannot really guarantee social security until it goes to the logical end, which is to ration the national income in time of peace just as all goods and satisfactions are rationed in time of war.

All well and good, but it's bound to be a bad trip with them running the country.

The Left will make sure that there are swastikas and attribute them to the Right if it suits their sick needs

Actually, there are a couple of pix of demonstrators with swastikas. They are union fellows who hold up the swastikas for pix then swap them for their pro Hussein-o-care signs or go back to beating up on the better dressed demonstrators.

" Just watch your backs. Big brother is watching. "

I like to give a few words to BIG BROTHER who is watching...

Yes, you can rest assured, you should also watch your back, because, some" ONE " else in whom you can not see is watching you...
You can not defeat this " ONE " in whom is watching you..
you can not defeat this " ONE " in whom with all of your technology, might, resources , your fight is futile..
