I never heard Cheney speak in favor of amnesty.”

Neither did I.
But then I never heard him speak against amnesty either.
He just let his boss do the talking, and kept silent on the issue, and I don't recall anyone bothering him with questions on immigration either.
Sarah Palin on the other hand, had that issue brought right up in this interview with this Latino outfit. It was a major issue in the 2008 elections. She really couldn't buck McCain on this one, with 2 weeks to the elections. She merely repeated the policy of the McCain/Palin platform

Dick Cheney ran for President. And if he ever had, had he ever come out for amnesty, it would have been a dealbreaker.

And if Pallin said this and stands by it, you can bet the farm this won’t be swept under the rug, glossed over, or taken lightly.

This is huge, and it is a dealbreaker, if true. We are not stupid, we can recognize RINOs.
