During this interview with Univision, she was walking a very high tight rope in high winds. Not a surprise at all. She was a candidate with Amnesty McCain! Get over it. Her position was consistent with McCains, who was the top of the ticket. At the time her answer was politically safe .
Until she comes out and makes a formalized statement or takes a formal policy position on her own we won’t know where she stands. She did support Rep. Bob Lynn’s HB3 Visa/Drivers License law by tweeting: “If u dont have legal right to walk down Alaskan street, why should u have right to drive same street?”
No to Amnesty and yes to border security is a good starting point. Enforce the laws where benefits are restricted including employer-enforcement, and you will see attrition. Favoring the approach that a vast majority of all Americans (voting) citizens favor - attrition through enforcement is a good starting point.
