This is the BLOG SECTION. God forbid a registered republican and active member of the conservative activist community post a link to their blog and ask for (GASP) comments! I’ve been on this forum for a half year. I’ve joined several discussions, made several threads, pinged and exchanged several PMs. It’s not like I’ve popped out of the ether. I’ve been an active member of this community for a while now.

Why don't you go read the Freeper lexicon, lore, and guide to common abbreviations?
You have been registered on Free Republic for just shy of six months. To someone who registered in 2006, or 2004, or 1998, or 1997, you are a newbie to this forum, and newbies are subject to very close scrutiny right now because of continuing attacks by leftists from DU, Kos, HuffPo, and other Web sites like Something Awful.
As for the charges of "blog pimping," you're guilty. Sorry. You posted a link to your blog with requests for Freepers to go over to your blog and do stuff there. That sort of thing is, by definition, blog pimping. Lots of Freepers don't take too kindly to that sort of thing, but it's not an automatic strike-out. They like bringing stuff here, however, and discussing it here, at Free Republic.
Now, I'm an undergrad at Virginia, and I've figured this out. You claim to be a grad student at Boston University, which I consider a fairly reputable academic institution, and I have friends and colleagues who went to school there. In other words, you're smart enough to understand what I'm telling you.
A lot of other Freepers have already pointed out to you the exact same things I am telling you now. Just listen up, take some guidance, and you'll still be here, happily Freeping, in six months. Otherwise, the Viking Kitties will eat you alive...probably tonight, in fact.
