CNN President Jon Klein sent an e-mail to staffers of “Lou Dobbs Tonight” just as the program went to air, informing them that CNN researchers had determined that Hawaiian officials discarded all paper documents in 2001
TVNewser has learned CNN/U.S. president Jon Klein sent an email to a handful of “Lou Dobbs Tonight” staffers last night regarding the coverage of the so-called birthers and the validity of Pres. Obama’s birth in the U.S.
In part, Klein writes, “It seems this story is dead- because anyone who still is not convinced doesn’t really have a legitimate beef.” Klein asked CNN researchers to dig into the question of why Obama couldn’t produce the original birth certificate. The researchers contacted the Hawaii Health Dept. and confirmed that paper documents were discarded in 2001 when the department went paperless. That reportedly includes Pres. Obama’s original birth certificate.

October 2008, Hawaiian officials reported that they had personally verified the existence of Barack Obama’s original birth certificate: State officials say there’s no doubt Barack Obama was born in Hawaii.
Health Department Director Dr. Chiyome Fukino says she and the registrar of vital statistics, Alvin Onaka, have personally verified that the health department holds Obama’s original birth certificate.
Fukino says that no state official, including Gov. Linda Lingle, ever instructed that Obama’s certificate be handled differently from any other. She says state law bars release of a certified birth certificate to anyone who does not have a tangible interest in it.

Does anyone have a source for that? I know of a statement saying that a valid birth certificate was on file but where is it that Hawaii government officials said "there’s no doubt Barack Obama was born in Hawaii."
Most people are not completely aware of the fact that almost every single record of nearly EVERYTHING, especially birth records goes into a national storage depot, this is a procedure that stills stand in effct since the start of the Cold War in case America was attacked by hundreds of nuclear weapons.
These are actual real records or copies of the highest order to protect the Archives of America.
Obamas “papers” or whatever he used all his life will be on file there. Its just a matter of having enough “push” to get a copy.Theoretically a high school student could have access, or it could very well be under a Presidential Seal and not to be released for oover a hundred years.
I ask America, can you live the rest of your life not knowing WHO OBAMA really is?

I don’t know about that but they were very specific as to having his ORIGINAL birth certficate on file, in 2008.

They converted to a digital system 8 years ago, the paper was discarded (as reported) and the original was an image-file original. So, when the press release was made (last year, 2008) they confirmed they have the original (everything digital....).

No, that would be a duplicate or copy, not an original. Today CNN reports his ORIGINAL was destroyed.

Seems like a bit of a veiled threat to Dobbs to “drop this”.
Thing is it is not going to go away...and even if we don’t get the goods on 0bama, it should prevent this abortion in future.
An image-file is not an original 1961 birth certificate.

I got a copy from the PA Dept. of Health last year when I applied for a passport.
The title of the document is "Certification of Birth". The fine print at the bottom reads, "This is to certify that this is a true copy of the record which is on file in the Pennsylvania Department of Health."

I think there was more of a mission after the election and prior to the immauguration when 0bama went to Hawaii twice..to see granny, to vacation during Christmas..make sure granny keeps her yap shut..or maybe he gave her the little pill and told her it was her duty to die...take the secret to her final resting place.

President Obama promised transparency in government… yet the White House won’t release his original birth certificate. Many Americans are asking… why not? The mainstream liberal media is attacking me for simply asking the question. Meanwhile… the state of Hawaii says it cannot release a paper copy of the president’s original birth certificate because it discarded the original document when its health department records went electronic eight years ago. That explanation has not satisfied critics though. Joining Lou: Roland Martin, CNN contributor and syndicated columnist, and Congressman Ted Poe.

I can't much disagree with it.. and I appreciate the logic behind it, but as yet he has not been shown to have done something subversive as a traitor, ie: given away secret documents to our enemies.
There is no doubt that those he calls friend here at home and abroad are all die hard marxists. The picture gets clearer all the time. 2012 can't get here soon enough.
