I missed the whole news day working. I’m curious to know: why do FReepers think Sarah resigned? What’s the consensus?

Personally, I think Obama’s Chicago gestapo made her an offer she couldn’t refuse.

Because she wanted FREEDOM, Freedom to travel across the lower 48 without having ethics complaint after ethics complaint filed against her. Now she can focus on writing that book, traveling the nation(and the world) and campaigning for other Conservatives. She was being smothered over there, not able to move a muscle without having some BS ethics charge made against her, it was costing her a fortune, now they will start filing complaints against Parnell, I hope he has a nice stash of cash, you all know it’s coming. Sarah is a genius, now she has the libs crapping their pants wondering what she is doing, “Is she running for President?” the libs hope she is done but she is NOT EVEN CLOSE TO BEING DONE which scares the crap out of them

She intends to run against Senator Lisa Murkowski in the primary...which is barely a year away. She wins the primary, and there is no legit democratic contender...so Nov’s election is a joke.

She has no intention of running for president in 2012. She will wait until the end of 2015...resign the senate seat, which the Republican governor will gladly replace, and then starts the same trick again of getting up into the primary season.

She has figured out that the 2012 election is not worth discussing and Obama likely has it won. So she simply intends to patiently wait this out.

Her speech is being repeated on FOX again and again. Got a feeling that the talking head on vacation will make sure we all hear it again....

She resigned because she felt her constituents deserve a full-time governor. Her opponent is missing work to campaign.
