For those interested in the Ethiopian connection to the Ark of the Covenant, I’d recommend the following book. “The Sign and the Seal” by Graham Hancock. I don’t know whether it’s still in print.

“The Sign and the Seal” is a very interesting read, almost like a novel. It is well researched and shows the possible path from Solomon’s Temple during the time of Manasseh. It was during this time that Manasseh was bringing pagan idols into the Temple and the Levitical priests were thought to have removed the Ark away from this sacrilege. It is interesting also that there is no mention in the Bible of the Ark after the time of Solomon. It is also interesting that is archaeological evidence of a Jewish Temple on Elephantine Island in Egypt.
