Mon. Gov. Palin flew out to the Carrier Stennis for military exercises
She had in her office the other week, Generals from Pacific Command re missile defense.
She is in Europe now visiting Military bases.
Her son is in the Army in Iraq.
Most on FR dis gov. Palin on FR because they don’t support the war just like the left wing
Very curious then as to why you're concerned about a Governor who isn't even an officially-declared presidential candidate.
Some of FR don’t like gov. Palin because she shows up the male wannabee candidates as the wimps they are.
Does grasping for last elections losers also include Mitt?
I don't remember seeing him come out a winner....
Where are your dismissals of his chances, reports of his issues, questions of his fitness?
Yeah, those recent comments criticizing Obama on spending and North Korea was just incoherent baby babbling.
More like they don't care for a genuine conservative and would rather support another status-quo flaccid Republican.
“Looter Guy” will be along shortly to help in the clean up...... Doesn’t he follow FEMA around..
Anyone that has seen those pictures along the Yukon knows those people need help. If Alaskans can't do it alone, she'll get it done. Winter's coming.
I’m not the one who brought up 2012 electoral politics.
I’m really more concerned with the SarahBots who buzz about 2012 in a frenzy everytime she’s mentioned.
Does grasping for last elections losers also include Mitt?I'm not on a Romney bandwagon either.
That is what I thought...
Every election only has one losing ticket.
People who did not win previous nominations often go on to win their party’s nomination and the White House (Reagan, as an example.)
But you will be very hard pressed to find someone who was on a losing ticket who went on to win the presidential election later. Nixon and FDR. But that’s it.
No one has ever gone on to defeat the candidate they lost to in the previous election, though several have tried. Mondale, Stevenson, and Dewey all ran against candidates they had lost to 4 years earlier, and not surprisingly, not one of them produced a reversal of America’s judgement.
A Palin/0bama rematch is guaranteed to meet the same fate.
However it is odd that if you are so sure of such a result that you are spending time denigrating Palin.
Counterpunch, your perception of FEMA and what it does is not based in any type of reality but rather is the result of believing what you see on TV.
The Agency has like less than 3000 permanent full time employees, mostly paper pushers in DC.
The contractors do good work, are highly competent, and are out of a job when all of the entities have been reimbursed.
That should be “just Palin”...
I don’t follow your logic.
If I wasn’t so sure that a Palin/0bama rematch would render the same judgement as 4 years earlier, why would I be so opposed to nominating her?
If I actually thought she had a good chance of winning, I would be far more supportive of the notion.
But she has zero chance. Of the last four presidential tickets, Palin’s got the fewest votes out of all of them, getting even fewer votes than the LOSING ticket 4 years earlier. Think about that. Palin just cannot draw the votes necessary to defeat 0bama. If she couldn’t do it in 2008, she won’t be able to do it in 2012, either. People need to look at the hard facts and start looking for someone who can defeat 0bama in 3 years from now. There are some real conservative leaders out there.
You didn't have to. Everyone knows that Palin is already a leading contender for POTUS in 2012. I even posted a vanity analyzing her chances, remember? We're just refuting your disingenuous criticism of her.
Im really more concerned with the SarahBots who buzz about 2012 in a frenzy everytime shes mentioned.
Excusez-moi for getting excited over a real conservative Republican after 20 years of watered-down moderates who helped bring America to its sorry state that it's in now.
Neither is Palin in 2008. You see the media still going after her, you see the crowds she's getting. Did Dan Quayle get roaring crowds after losing a presidential election? John Edwards? I didn't think so.
