...and, since you know absolutely nothing about Alaska, its harsh climate, or its remote, enormous geography, get back to us when you figure out what you're talking about.

Save the typing, except for the lurkers I guess.

Romney shills have even less interest in facts than they do conservatism.

After all they are, well, Romney shills....

I think 2012 is a long way off. I don’t have a particular horse in the race at this time.
We just don’t know who is going to run or who is even going to be relevant. Think of all the Sanford supporters a week ago...

I do however think that regardless of what other candidates might be in the running, Palin would be a sure loser.

For whatever reason, Palin represents something to some people, just as 0bama represents something to others. But neither politician’s support comes from actual performance, abilities or leadership on the issues. And I do believe that 2012 will be all about those qualities, not the vacuous identity and personality politics of 2008. We will lose the debate if we put up someone as lightweight as 0bama. I believe 2012 will be the year the adults finally step forward and say “enough!”

Palin sign a Faustian bargain for federal money, as all such deals are.

So, in your esteemed opinion, those Alaskans who just lost everything in the floods should just go to hell?

You present facts?

As if that matters...

Anything to get rid of the “damned woman” that stands between Golden Boy and his just reward...

No, which is exactly why I think Alaska should deal with it, instead of handing it over to FEMA to screw up.

Apparently Palin is a Big Government RINO too.

No. But someone here is a hyperventilating bat.

Riiight...

If I did not know better I would simply credit that statement to ignorance about Palin's record, which is a redeemable situation for you.

However I know better.

Keep swinging...

Well, you obviously don't realize, nor have you taken the time to understand, that Alaska is huge and remote and does not have the resources, personnel, and money to deal with natural disasters like these floods.

Have you even been there?

So you do support the contention that the United States Citizens of Alaska, taxpayers themselves, should be denied access to funding that is rightfully theirs, funding that is intended to help them recover their lives, so that your "ideals" are upheld?

You support that the money in question should only be used in democratically controlled areas by those who pay no taxes in order to maintain some elusive ‘principle”.

I really hope you are simply doing your ordained anti Palin pro Romney shilling.

The alternative, well it speaks even less favorably of your position...

Oh boy... a state the seize of Alaska hasn't the resources to deal with everything ALONE. It's about ASSISTANCE in ADDITION to what the state can do.

You realize of course, that when working properly, FEMA does very little hands on work and provides coordination between applicable agencies. They are supposed to operate as the center spoke of the wheel.

They have the authority to coordinate with federal agencies directly that a state does not have. When a crisis is managed properly it is the state that remains in charge - this allows them a great deal of flexibility to manage problems.

Ask Haley Barbour how it’s supposed to work...

If you are a 10th amd purist who thinks the federal gov has no role whatsoever in domestic affairs, including disaster recovery, then this answer will satisfy you now one whit, but this is hardly tantamount to the federalization of AK or the wholesale abandonment of conservatism.

I see that the Third Party and Sanford loons are beside themselves. I Said from the get go he is a never was.

These loons would rather have Obama for a second term
than Conservative Republican Gov. Palin.

I figured out exactly which good 'ol boy villain Haley Barbour reminds people of:
Chief Karlin from Fletch.

A lot of people just recognize that Sarah Palin can’t hold her own against 0bama.
Some of us just don’t want to see 0bama’s reelection.

Palin at best comes across as shrill and defensive.
And that’s when she isn’t being incoherent.
She’s a bit of a dummy.
The GOP can’t afford another one.
It’s time it regains the mantle of the Party of Ideas.

I know I’m not the only one who sees this empress has no clothes.

I guess when one is against a wall and out of ideas...
They grasp for last election's loser?
That's what the Democrats did in 1984.
I don't suggest Republicans follow their example.

Instead, let's wait for the 2011 debates and see if a smart leader emerges...
