Governor Palin: Most Dangerous Threat To The Øbama Admin With No Close 2nd
Governor Palin 4 President ^

Posted on 06/19/2009 8:45:44 PM PDT by MaxCUA

The best & the brightest on the left go into politics. The best on the right run their own businesses. So it is no surprise that the left is far more adept, even expert at the art of hardball politics. And they are telling us something profound.

The left is telling us something many feel, many find as a hunch, that Sarah Palin is the most dangerous threat to the Øbama administration with no close second. The left is telling us this by their "over the top" attacks. Not just the Letterman assaults, but the constant barrage of grievances filed against her in Alaska. The attacks every day on Palin for no apparent reason -- except that the left seems to see her quite differently from any Republican candidate. A difference of kind, not of degree.

Its too bad that your average conservative is devolving to the point where simply calling someone or some idea liberal constitutes a good sound argument. On the other hand, it does save someone from actually having to think about things and wasting all that mental energy.

Thankfully, there are a few conservatives left who don’t mind actually engaging their mental faculties on occasion.

Interesting; at what point will the people who believe in our republic and its foundation finally take up arms?

“I’m from the ACLU and I have a court order that demands you surrender your firarms.” “Cool. Here it is, projectiles first.”

Ok, didn’t want to have to do this but I’ll go ahead and spell it out for you:

Cutting taxes helps everyone, not just the rich. If you were a conservative you would know that.

We’re not there yet, not even close.

I meant that if anyone found themselves in the process of trying to harm the Governor, those hired to protect her would be obligated to turn the tables.

And that they would opt out of this strategy in the first place anyway, not wanting to live out the rest of their limited existence with the knowledge that retribution lurks behind every corner.

So you’re saying deficit spending helps everyone?

Across the board tax cuts result in job creation, economic growth for all socioeconomic classes and increased revenue for the government (you should have known this).

Palin sure knows it, and she’ll put it into practice.

That’s one of the many reasons she’s more qualified for the presidency than anyone you can name.

You sound like a Leftist.

Typical deflection by those here who cannot handle the truth. Get called on your lies? ...just call the accuser a "Leftist".

I brought up deep policy differences I have with Governor Palin...

No, you lied. It is as simple as that.

By the way, why aren't you, Keyes and the gang out protesting agaisnt abortion right now? Since Obama spoke at Notre Dame have abortions ceased being performed in this country? Lots of places at this moment performing abortions yet no Alan Keyes, no Randall Terry, no EVs pushing baby carriages outside of abortion clinics.
Could the reason possibly be on account of the MEDIA wouldn't be present as they were at Notre Dame?

You can say “you lie” all you want. But you’re just like any other leftist. You don’t have anything to back it up.

You're insane. I don't mean that in a hostile manner, but in a sincere one. I actually think you have serious mental issues. Low self-esteem being high on the list, along with delusions of grandeur.

Are you short? I bet you are.

Have you read Ann Coulter’s “Guilty.”

Point after point, chapter after chapter, she provides the foundation that your last point is not likely.

All you have to do is observe the positive passion she generated from the conservative base from the first day she was nominated.

Allow me to stick my oar into these muddy waters.

Deficit spending doesn’t help anyone, not even those who temporarily benefit from the spending. Lower taxes do benefit everyone though. Obviously, the trick is to lower taxes while avoiding deficit spending. The problem there is simple: Americans have become dependent on all sorts of social welfare programs that cost money - money that comes from taxes.

Now, if I were taxed $20,000 in a year and that money were to go to welfare programs I might complain a bit but I wouldn’t be calling for the tax collector’s head on a pike. Unfortunately, most of the money goes instead to line the pockets of a multitude of - tax collectors!

Off with their heads!

Example: I read something a couple of weeks ago about the State of Maryland having a higher tax rate for those who make over $1,000,000 a year. They came up with this plan to offset a shortfall in tax revenue and it worked - for a couple of years. Then those millionaires moved out of state. Now the State of Maryland is looking for some other group to finance their spending habit.

Here in Oregon the state is looking to stick it to anyone who makes more than $250,000 a year. Already the exodus has begun with long-time companies moving across the river to Washington, where the tax system is less punishing of success. Downtown Portland is a sea of high-rise buildings with “For Lease” signs all over them and it’s going to get worse. The two bridges connecting Portland and Vancouver were built to allow Washingtonians to come over here to work. Instead the traffic is nearly equal in both directions due to the companies that have relocated.

It has been shown time and time again that lower taxes increase tax revenue. The problem comes when greedy legislators see that new money and decide to increase the spending over and above what they have taken in. You and whomever else wants can sit there and say that higher taxes are necessary to keep abreast of spending... But it isn’t true and it never will be.

I’m done.

It’s not really a point that can be argued either way, there’s so much guesswork involved.

During the campaign I saw Palin refer to climate change in increased melting in Alaska, but each and every time she seemed to be careful to refer to whether it was man-made or not, whereby she wasn’t even claiming that she didn’t know whether it was or not—rather she wasn’t even engaging in that debate. That surely came across as as enviroskeptic as a McCain running mate could be.

“what motivates GOP is lower taxes and to he** with average Americans”

Let’s look at this again—it really is a great opportunity.

Tax cuts truly do help all citizens by creating jobs, lifting the entire economy and even causing more money to come in to the government.

Conservatives realize this, but liberals don’t—they think conservatives are pushing some kind of greed-inspired scam. If such a thing were true, liberals would be justified in opposing the conservative call for tax cuts.

But there is no escaping the fact that tax cuts result in greater affluence for all. Trickle down really works. The part liberals don’t get—and this is key—is that it’s not just one trickle but millions of trickles across the economy, running down to the people and lifting all boats.

What this all comes down to is: either you really do want justice for the people or you want the antithesis which is ever increasing power for the government. Because that’s another thing tax cuts do—they take power from the government and give it to the people.

A few elected leaders and political activists realize this—yet they continue to push for statism disguised as “social justice” because they are lured by the prospect of personal power. Many elected leaders and activists, I believe, are severely misdirected, having fallen for the “social justice” disguise.

It really comes down to making a choice—a choice between integrity and its opposite.

If you look at the way she has lived her life, I would agree.
I find it AMAZING that folks want a politician (of all things) to be some perfect, God like extent ion of their own convictions. It is as if they expect them to be sinless and perfect in every way, not even thinking that their idea of perfection won't be another persons.

Why do most conservatives think it necessary for wealth to trickle down from he rich???? Think how the rich spend their extra money.

Why not raise minimum wages across board and let wealth trickle up?

GOP types just have this aristocratic view of life like lords of the manor are necessary.

Sorry, it is the regular everyday people who ought to paid a decent wage and a lot of this economic mess wouldneverhav happened.

The GOP is just enamored of the rich, and big business and it warps their perception of reality. Conservatism is about reality, not wishful thinking.

Do you really think that Bill gates did it all by himself?

parsy, the conservative who is not afraid to ask questions.
