I agree. By their very actions, "those people" will ultimately serve God's will by helping to bring about the very things they are trying to destroy.

My first thought when I read this was:

"As for my house, we will serve the Lord"

I take comfort in the certain knowledge that my house is one of many - we are not, and will not be alone.
