This is quite moving, thanks for posting. We visited Normandy one week; there was a Pentagon historian there, giving a field trip to military guys who had done outstanding work in the past year. We got to tag along.
It is wonderful there, the best part of France. The people loved Americans, too. We had folks come up to us — “Are you Americans?” — and thank us profusely for saving France.
