There’s no bovine here, if cold fusion worked it would be one of the most profitable inventions in human history. So it wouldn’t need any intrade bets. That’s not boive, that’s REALITY.

There’s nothing snide about saying if cold fusion worked it would make money. That’s just simple reality. If it worked it would revolutionize the energy business, that would make money. If you think that’s snide you’re really just not equipped for these kind of discussions.

I’m not bullying anybody. You’re the guy chanting “put up or shut up” I’m just pointing out that bar bets won’t help or settle science. And I’m definitely not whining, that sound you here is me holding back laughter.
I noticed they’re not taking your money, from what I can see on your links, and admittedly I’m not that good at reading intrade, it doesn’t look like anybody has been interested in taking your bet for about a year.
Lots of people make money on polls, just ask Scott Rasmusen. In the end that’s really what intrade is, especially when it comes to elections, it’s a poll bar bet, you find out how many people are willing to bet one candidate will win vs the other, that’s a poll, except that the group that’s right wins money. Which is actually an OK model for predicting elections. But cold fusion isn’t an election, it doesn’t matter how many people take which side of your cold fusion bet it doesn’t change the basic laws of physic cold fusion claims violate.
I’ve worked in start up companies, I know about making money on something I believe to be true. If you think cold fusion is real get out there and really help it come to pass.
At the end of the day it’s meaningless fluff. It’s still just a silly intrade bet and will have no impact on the world. If cold fusion works there’s much better ways to make money on it. And there’s much better ROIs on things I believe true than offered at intrade.

Funny how the guy doing all the insulting from behind the safety of a keyboard includes “wuss” in his list of insults. There always seems to be a 1::1 correlation between the people who say the kinds of things that would get you punched in person on the internet, and the people who everybody else is a wuss.
