I’ve said for a while that the only way to avert some sort of major disaster is widespread availability of semi-realistic cybertronic concubines. I am not joking.
This bubble in the Chinese population is going to be a major problem for the entire world. In times past, and in the not to distant future, women will be viewed as booty...part of the spoils of war.
S/B ...and in the not too distant future,
You touched on a politically incorrect issue here, the issue of why American men want Asian wives or girlfriends.
Feminists are outraged that some men are into this “mail order bride” thing, where they try to get wives from other cultures. They condemn these men.
I have an open mind on that whole subject. But, I see where these men are coming from. Do they want to be with a woman who condemns their manliness in the name of feminism, or do they want to be with a woman who accepts him for what he is? I don’t know that I would ever do the mail order bride thing, but I can understand why some men do that.
“Even in dodge ball, boys get in trouble for throwing the ball too hard at girls.”
I only have a problem with that sentence. All the rest I agree with though who is she to tell me how to be a man! :)
I’ve dated alot of foreign gals, (my school had a very large number of foreign students) and they are usually much classier than American women.
The author is a woman, but undoubtedly a real woman.
Except like this weekend, when I led Mrs. Whisk and the cubs (ok, this time the cubs led me on a round-trip overnight from Minneapolis to Hudson, WI and back. A metric century, more or less, each way.
Yesterday was great but we had wicked headwinds and 89 degrees for the way home this afternoon.
I need a beer.
Cheers!
what’s with the mail-order bride stuff? you do realize there are unmarried asian women in the US, right?
as for being condemned by the femnazis for being with an asian... well, that’s mighty open minded of them. besides, i wouldn’t give a crap if some liberal was upset that my choice in women being better then hers.
the first asian lady i dated was wonderful. the first time she came to my house, she brought a small gift. nothing special, just a token. (i had brought her a flower the first time i picked her up, so it might have been in response). her and i would shop & cook together or just head out for a night out in georgetown or no. va area. very nice. she was not into drama or radical mood swings. she wouldn’t comment on my eating red meat or my daring to salt my food. she was ‘fob’ (fresh of the boat) and very nice. (work travel ended that one... grrrr)
When the article refers to feminists, I sort of feel like this is past-tense. Feminists used to be plentiful, and they had some good things to stand for, like being paid what you’re worth, and getting promoted when you deserve it. What we have now as “feminists” are older, bitter women on the one hand, and young sexual libertines from the “hook up” culture on the other hand. Neither bode well for a well-functioning society.
I used to be a very idealistic feminist, and very bitter about how men had, well, manhandled me. I started seeing through the feminist elite during law school. I edited an article where the author was complaining that “woman” was spelled with a “man” in it. I was disgusted to be assisting spoiled whiners who ignored or shied away from the real suffering of women. That experience, and finding a really good man to marry, helped me move on.
Then, when the heroes of Flight 93 went down in PA, I realized that if I were ever in an crisis like that, there is no doubt that I would want real American men to be there, with their brains, courage, independent thinking, and heart. I put my bitterness aside for good, and became very grateful that American men are who they are.
A week later, I gave birth to a son. I’m much more alert than I would otherwise have been to the need to give him the chance to really act like a boy, and to be proud of how God made him.
Exacly what they want.
