Hope they did not spend much on such an obvious conclusion.
Well duh! Why should we? They don't represent the people, they only represent themselves.
Sadly, it has been proven over and over again that most people think ‘they’re all crooks...except for my guy’. Thus they stay...and stay...and stay.
Also, 2000 was a banner year for gerrymandering. Both parties were complicit; and, they divided things up to make it very hard for either party to lose a district. Dick Morris has written alot about the technical details.
Alas, congress is 99.7% crooked...just not my guy (or gal in my case).
Pinging Captain Obvious......
Well, I hope Americans keep that in mind come November 2010 when all of the House and a third of the Senate stands for election. Until they put their money where their mouth is, I’m not in the mood for complaining. If I were a betting man, though, I’d bet that the Congress in 2011 will look pretty much like the Congress we have now, and Americans still will be complaining.
That's not a good question. There are probably quite a few Obama-voting socialists who trust Pelosi as much as they trust their messiah. There are also quite a few patriotic Americans who were stuck choosing between Obama, Pelosi, and the Supremes. A better question is "On a scale from 1-10, with 1 being not at all and 10 being completely, how much do you trust ________." That way we can give all three branches the low ratings they deserrve.
Congress does not trust Congress, why should the citizens? Isn't that why we have "check and balances"
To love one's country is patriotic; to trust one's government is foolish.
Wait! It is going to get worse. Pelosi has to go, and the rest of the fascists must follow.
