They're just using a new tool. It's pretty much the same kind of data they've always had. The problem isn't the data-- it's what they'll do with it now that the White House owns it. I'm guessing they're going to do some intense gerrymandering of congressional districts in advance of the coming elections. Now that they've got power they have the perfect tool to keep it.
But not to your income, ethnicity, and a host of other things they will want to know when they come around with their questions. We know perfectly well that this database will soon be compromised. I think the only thing you're required to tell is the number of people living in your house. That's what I plan to do. In 2000, I refused to give any other information.
